Recreational Program
Fine Line Dance Center’s recreational program is designed for beginner/intermediate level dancers, ages 2-18.
Registration is LIVE for Season 2 classes beginning September 9!

Ballet : Ages 2-3
Dancers are introduced to ballet steps & terminology while incorporating creative movement exercises to enhance their love of movement & music. Dancers will perform 1 routine in the annual recital.
Dress code: Girls: Ballet pink tights, pink leotard, pink leather ballet shoes, pink skirts are optional.
Boys: Black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes.
Tap/Ballet/Tumble : Ages 4-5
Dancers will focus on 2 styles of dance and basic tumbling skills. Dancers will learn basic ballet & tap technique/terminology. Dancers will express themselves through rhythm, improvisation & weekly combinations. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.
Dress code: Girls: Pink leotard, pink leather ballet shoes, pink skirts/shorts are optional, Carmel tights (optional), tan Merry Jane tap shoes.
Boys: Black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes and black lace tap shoes.
Ballet : Ages 3-4

Jazz/Tap : Ages 5-7
Dancers learn 2 different styles of dance. Dancers will learn basic tap and jazz technique & terminology. Dancers express themselves through rhythm & weekly combinations. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.
Dress code: Girls: Black leotard, tan Bloch Spark jazz shoes, Carmel tights (optional), black skirt, shorts or leggings are optional, tan Merry Jane tap shoes.
Boys: Black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes and black lace tap shoes.
Jazz/Lyrical : ages 9-11
Dancers will focus on 2 styles of dance. Dancers will learn basic ballet & jazz technique/terminology and progress into learning more intermediate level technique. Dancers will express themselves through rhythm, improvisation & weekly combinations. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.
Dress code: Black leotard or tight fitting tank, Carmel tights (optional), black skirt, shorts or leggings, tan Bloch Spark jazz shoes, Capezio Hanami half sole shoes.
Boys: Black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes and black Bloch spark jazz shoes.
Ballet/Tap : Ages 4-5
Dancers will focus on 2 styles of dance. Dancers will learn basic ballet & tap technique/terminology. Dancers will express themselves through rhythm, improvisation & weekly combinations. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.

Ballet/Jazz : Ages 5-7

Company Prep Class
Is your dancer interested in competing with our competitive company someday or wanting to learn more intermediate/advanced skills and technique? Dancers will focus on multiple styles of dance throughout the season including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop. Dancers will learn ballet/tap/jazz technique and terminology and progress into learning more intermediate advanced level technique. Dancers will express themselves through improvisation and weekly combinations. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.
Dress code: Black leotard or tight fitting tank, Carmel tights (optional), black skirt, shorts or leggings, tan Bloch spark jazz shoes, tan merry Jane tap shoes, clean tennis shoes.
Boys: Black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes and black Bloch spark jazz shoes.
Hip Hop/Jazz : Ages 8-10
Dancers will learn 2 styles of dance. This class is high energy! Dancers will learn hip hop movement, tricks & style and learn basic jazz technique/terminology. Dancers will perform 2 routines in the annual recital.
Dress Code: Black leotard or tight fitting tank, Carmel tights (optional), black skirt, shorts or leggings, tan Bloch spark jazz shoes, clean Tennis shoes
Monthly tuition
30 min. class : $45.00
45 min. class : $55.00
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Autopay is required. A $10 late fee is applied to any tuition payment made after the 10th of the month.
There is a one time registration fee of $10.00. (max is 2 per family).
All parent/guardians agree to a waiver and release of liability during the registration process.
All dancers who register for a class/classes will receive a payment schedule handout. This will be emailed to you before classes begin along with a recreational information sheet.
FLDC will follow SACS fall, winter and spring break schedule.
FLDC will follow SACS weather/school cancellations. If SACS has a 2 hour delay, morning classes will proceed at normal time. If SACS closes school, morning classes will be cancelled and a decision will be made by 1:00pm that day to determine whether evening classes will proceed.
FLDC’s annual recital will be held on June 1, 2025 at the Auer Performance Hall at PFW. Dress rehearsal will be held in the morning hours. Recital performance will be held mid afternoon. Times TBD.
